This trojan pest is really something else. Reaper' s PC got it and no matter what you try to do it would keep coming up and there were too many items to have to look into to try to stop it.
Iceman was nice enough to check out the web and located some documentation on it and it suggested the files that needed to be touched. It was a lot. I also asked an IT member at the office today and he stated that a couple of our computers at the office had gotten it too and he found the Malwarebytes program which is free did the trick. So I downloaded it tonight and ran the program on Reaper's machine in SAFE Mode - did a complete scan which took about 40 minutes but it was well worth it. It discovered 57 files infected. Took care of the infected files and then rebooted the machine - everything came up fine and no more Windows Defender 2010 taking over the machine. Hurrah!!!!
This Malwarebytes is free - yeah I said free and it even corrects the problem FREE.
So if you have a problem here is the site to go out to for downloading this free software:

it was nasty to say the least. A window would come up just after booting up the computer saying that your system is infected by a Trojan and to activate - they want you to stop the firewall. If you select cancel the window goes away but only for about 10 seconds and it back again. My McAfee window came up stating that an ISP was trying to connect to my machine and do I wish to continue to block - I of course clicked YES.
If when the window comes up and you press activate, you must then put in a key code, however, in order to put in a key code you must buy their program - $49.95 for one version and $79.95 for the full version. What a scam. The only threat the to computer was them. Trying to get rid of them was definitely something else. You can't just uninstall them from the control panel. The affect the HKey in the registry.
Thank goodness for Iceman and my friend at work for the directions they gave me. The Malwarebytes was a big help. I even used it on my computer and it found a problem in my download folder so I got rid of it too.
Thanks for asking.

Yeah, I got it too. I rebooted and before their little program could take over I hit F1 and did a system restore and I rolled back to before the problem started. Haven't had a problem since but you have to be quick to get to system restore before the program starts. This was a huge pain. No internet and I couldn't run hardly any apps like control panel.

Its been my experience that those pop up malwares are impossible to close on your desktop, you have to quickly ctrl/alt /del and close program in your task manager, as the "x" and cancel tabs are part of the malware and will still run the program. I dont think "restore" will remove it, once it has a foothold...It will probably come up again...Run DD's app for removal...Been working alot , but will be back this weekend for sure...Bilko out

Thanks for the info. If it appears again, I will run the app. After installing a virus protector, it found it and removed it so I think I'm good now. Funny how things work. I tried the contol alt delete but it wouldn't allow it. Very funny and good program...just not for us.

Well it came back. Man I hate this stuff. Why in the world would someone feel they need to make a virus like this. Anyway, I'm trying the app and seeing if it will work for me. I'll keep you posted.

Sure hope it does - it really worked great on Reaper's PC - no problems after we used the program to delete it.

It found 20 things that my others did not. 2 of which I did not remove because I don't think they are Trojoans. I have my fingures crossed.
